The second study in the "Earthquake and Mental Health" series, organized in collaboration with Malatya Turgut Özal University, Kilis 7 Aralık University, Gaziantep Islamic Science and Technology University, and Gümüşhane University, was held on December 6-7, 2024, at Kilis 7 Aralık University, focusing on the theme of "Psychological Effects and Protective Factors."

The opening ceremony of the workshop was attended by Kilis Governor Tahir ŞAHİN, Malatya Turgut Özal University Rector Prof. Dr. Recep BENTLİ, Kilis 7 Aralık University Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Doğan KARACOŞKUN, Gümüşhane University Rector Prof. Dr. Halil İbrahim ZEYBEK, Gaziantep Islamic Science and Technology University Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Feridun BİLGİN, protocol members, NGO representatives, members of the press, academic and administrative staff, and students.

Following the opening speeches, the keynote conference was delivered by Dr. Muhammet Aykuthan ULUSOY with a talk titled "Mental Health in the Context of Earthquakes."

The second session of the program continued under the chairmanship of our department head, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeynep Sağır, with the theme "Protective Factors Related to Families and Children After Earthquakes."

While the first workshop was held at our university, the second workshop took place at Kilis 7 Aralık University and lasted for two days in total.
